On Tuesday, 26 May, the Electoral Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs ItsStormcrafter announced the results of the recently-held Parliament elections. The election yielded five seats for the Scarlet Flame Alliance (3 IGNITE + 2 OSR), four seats for Alliance Redwood (2 Labour + 2 Greens), and two seats for the Alexandrian National Party (ANP). Two days later, on Thursday, 28 May, the Evil Queen of Alexandria AsexualDinosaur announced the nation’s new Government, made up of the Greens-Labour-ANP “National Tree Coalition”. The Greens’ Rubilubi44 shall serve as the Prime Minister, Labour’s SoggehToast shall serve as Deputy Prime Minister, and ANP, as the kingmakers with only two seats in Parliament, secured three out of six Minister positions for themselves in negotiations to form Government with the Greens and Labour.
The new Government is an unlikely alliance made up of interesting characters. For example, despite the ANP’s small presence in Parliament, its participation in Government is extremely outsized. The new Minister of Development, ThrityStone, leader of the ANP, has been deeply involved in public statements and news media, becoming a face of the Government in the place of Prime Minister Rubilubi44, who is on a leave of absence (LOA).
